DraftKings Sportsbook PA has not launched in Pennsylvania just yet. However, it’s coming, and that means good things for Pennsylvania sports bettors.
DraftKings first entered the US sports betting market last year. The company’s Kambi-designed app unveiled many new features that were heretofore unknown to most of the US sports betting scene.
Chief among those features was the betting carousel, a rotating wheel that provided each patron with a customized set of suggested bets. The app also had extensive in-game betting available, meaning that the list of bettable options bloomed into the hundreds for each match.
So, assuming that DraftKings is planning the same thing for Pennsylvania, Keystone State residents should plan on quite the treat. We don’t know just yet when the launch will happen, but check this page often, as we will let you know as soon as we do.
DraftKings sportsbook bonus offer and new player promos
DraftKings hasn’t told us about its specific plans for rolling out bonus offers to entice new customers in Pennsylvania. However, these bonuses are the industry standard, and it’s what DraftKings has done in its other sportsbook offerings.
So, if we look at DraftKings in New Jersey, we see that the site offers new players $25 – absolutely free – just for registering. In addition, DraftKings rewards new depositors with a 50% match up to $500.
From that first deposit, new DraftKings members receive a Risk-Free Bet up to $200. So, New Jersey players can wager without worry – initially, at least.

The free bet amount is not transferable or otherwise redeemable, but any payout from the bonus bet becomes cash in your account, minus the original stake amount.
DraftKings sportsbook app
The DraftKings’ app can be downloaded for free through either the iOS or Android stores.
The first thing that catches a player’s eye is the large banner across the top of the home screen. That’s where you can see all of the promotions and bonuses available for the day.
Registering an account through the app is easy, but you will have to verify that you are not a member of a sports team or an organization that doesn’t allow you to place wagers. Once you do that, you’ll be able to place wagers, which are easy to find through the quick links located directly below the banner.
There are also a series of tabs along the bottom of the screen that connects to your bets, all sports that are available to wager and a quick link to current in-play wagering.
In the upper-right corner, you’ll likely be able to access the account you set up through the app.
On the account page, you should be able to and, refer a friend and manage any boosts and bonuses. We also expect a complete help center to be found underneath your account info to answer any questions you might encounter.
Other DraftKings PA bonuses
We don’t know the other bonuses that DraftKings may offer, but we can speculate based on the sportsbook’s history.
DraftKings in New Jersey gives its customers a free, $100 bet for referring a friend.
The friend needs to be a new customer and deposit a minimum of $5 into his or her account. Then the friend must register his or her new account by clicking through the referral link they receive from the original customer. After that, the $100 is the player’s to wager.
In Pennsylvania, we also expect team- and sport-specific promotions rotating throughout the different sports seasons.
One thing Pennsylvania can have that New Jersey can’t are promotions involving the state’s college teams
In New Jersey, it is illegal to bet on NJ-based college sports teams, while in Pennsylvania, you can place wagers on PennState football, Villanova basketball, and any other college team.
DraftKings loyalty program PA
DraftKings doesn’t offer a customer loyalty program.
However, because rewards programs are typically administered through a partner casino and not by the sportsbook operator, it’s likely that a loyalty program will arrive eventually.
What precisely that rewards program will look like won’t be known until DraftKings has a land-based casino partner.
What are the eligibility requirements?
If you are at least 21 years old and either visiting Pennsylvania or residing in it, you will be able to create a DraftKings’ online account. However, to place wagers, you will need to be inside the PA borders, as verified by location technology.
As per the rules set down by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, if you are an athlete, coach, referee, or other league or team official that can alter the outcome of a sporting event, you can still open an account and place wagers. However, you are not allowed to place bets on any teams or games in which you are connected.
How do I create a DK account?
Registering for a new account on the DraftKings’ website and mobile app is easy. It should only require your:
- Date of birth
- Physical address
- Email address
- Phone number
- Last four digits of your Social Security number.
As a new sign-up, you will likely be required to choose a username and password. Next, you’ll be given the opportunity to opt-in “strong authentication,” which is a secondary layer of security that sends a pin directly to your mobile number with every login attempt.
However, if you want to secure your account at the source of connection — your smartphone – the app is expected to support biometric security and the use of fingerprint, facial, voice or iris recognition.
The European tech giant, Kambi, spun off from Unibet, created the web connections for DraftKings in New Jersey.
With Kambi’s experience of working with sportsbooks on multiple continents, combined with DraftKings’ daily fantasy know-how, the website is smart, innovative, user-friendly and filled with a full slate of sports wagering options.
All up-to-date web browsers should power the DraftKings’ website. Upon your initial registration and login, you will need to download a plug-in for your computer that confirms your location through your WiFi connection.
How do I make deposits?
Based on what DraftKings’ history, and what Pennsylvania currently offers, depositing into a sports betting online account should be simple and feature multiple options.
Along with the standard deposit methods, like a credit or debit cards, you will be able to use PayPal, direct online bank transfer or any of the hundreds of PayNearMe terminals located throughout the state. Those terminals take credit card, debit card and cash.
How do I make withdrawals?
If the chosen method of electronic deposit, like PayPal or bank transfer, is also used for withdrawals, then these transactions are typically instantaneous.
If you use a method of deposit that doesn’t have a reciprocating means of electronic withdrawal, e.g., like PayNearMe, electronic checks will have to be arranged through a player’s account. Although, you should expect delays when processing checks through the mail.

The outcome of an event using constantly evolving odds or point spreads, depending on the current score.
In addition, in-game wagering offers second-chance multipliers and multiple halftime totals. Also, it includes the means of paying your way out of a current bet to then make a new one.
